Waiheke Collective seeking representative for Te Korowai o Waiheke Trust
Interested in governance & representing community? The Waiheke Collective is looking for a new representative on Te Korowai o Waiheke Trust Board (TKOW).
The Waiheke Collective is a community-based conservation network made up of individuals, volunteer groups, small businesses and local agencies working towards a common goal: a thriving natural environment on Waiheke. Anyone interested in pursuing these goals in adherence with our charter is welcome to participate in the Collective.
Te Korowai o Waiheke was born out of the Collective with the aim of making Waiheke the world’s first predator-free urban island.
Three spaces on the TKOW trust board are reserved for Collective representatives. One position is currently available for a 3-year term, starting late-2021. If you are interested in predator-free efforts and governance, please email the Waiheke coordinator on waihekecollective@gmail.com for a more information. Expressions of interest are open from 8 - 27 October, after which a representative will be selected via a consensus process.
