Te Korowai o Waiheke Trust is a charitable trust established by the local community to eradicate predators from Waiheke Island. If you have proven event management and communications experience, local knowledge, and the ability to develop engagement strategies for this ambitious conservation project on Waiheke Island, please apply.
The Job:
Manage and oversee logistics of community events
Prepare copy for the local newspaper, promotions, digital marketing, and postings on social media platforms (work with Social Media co-ordinator).
Communicate with key stakeholders to raise awareness and highlight project benefits.
Initiate educational programmes with Waiheke schools.
About You:
Passion for improving Waiheke’s biodiversity
Be Waiheke-based, able to work flexible hours for weekend and evening events.
2-3 years of hands-on event and communications experience.
Competent in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Social Media.
NZ residency or long-term visa
Clean drivers license
